Platforms' aerial work platforms are designed for those who need to operate at height with precision and total control, even in the most demanding conditions.
By connecting directly to the crane's system, the aerial work platform turns every operation at height into something precise, stable and safe.

The direct connection to the crane's hydraulic system continuously powers the levelling and rotation mechanisms: the work surface stays perfectly horizontal regardless of the machine's movements. Hydraulic rotation, controllable via lever up to ±90°, allows you to reach any working position with precision without repositioning the crane.

The integrated load control system alerts the operator when the weight limit is reached and locks operation if it is exceeded.
Each aerial work platform (hydraulic or electrohydraulic) is designed to accommodate up to three operators, allowing work at height to be carried out in an organised and efficient way.

Two versions, one philosophy.

An hydraulic lifting platform draws directly from the crane's system, which supplies the oil needed to manage levelling and rotation continuously and precisely — a seamless connection between machine and equipment.

Electrohydraulic aerial work platforms come with their own power unit, managed by an advanced electronic board and an integrated battery kit that powers the motor independently: wiring with the crane is simplified, compatibility is broader, with no compromise on performance.

Crane compatibility: finding the right match

Before choosing an aerial work platform, crane compatibility must always be verified. The key criteria to check are:

  • Sufficient residual capacity: the crane must guarantee adequate capacity in the actual working configuration (at the radius and height the platform will be used at, not just the crane’s maximum rated capacity) accounting for the weight of the platform, operators and any tools or materials carried aloft.
  • Attachment system: the connection point must be compatible with the crane’s jib; where needed, a custom-sized attachment adaptor can be supplied to ensure correct fitting even on non-standard cranes.
  • Crane safety devices: hydraulic cylinder lock valves (preventing uncontrolled descent in the event of hose failure) and an emergency lowering device, to bring the platform safely back down even in case of motor failure or power loss.
  • Load limiters and wind sensors: load limiters must be set to the specific platform’s rated capacity, automatically blocking any load-increasing movement if exceeded; wind sensors signal when the manufacturer’s wind speed threshold has been reached, requiring an immediate return to ground.
  • Regulatory compliance and operational requirements: products are designed and certified to BS EN 280 (the standards for mobile elevating work platforms) and carry the relevant UKCA/CE markings. In Great Britain, ongoing use is governed by LOLER 1998 (thorough examination requirements, noting that equipment for lifting persons requires a statutory thorough examination at least every 6 months) and PUWER 1998 (operator training and equipment suitability); equipment must always be used strictly in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Aerial work platforms or crane baskets?

Self-levelling aerial work platforms and man baskets share the same purpose — getting operators to height — but are very different tools in terms of technology and application.
Crane baskets attach mechanically to the crane boom via a certified hook and require no auxiliary hydraulic system. Levelling can be passive (gravity-based), mechanically controlled, or in more advanced models actively electronic, but remains primarily a stabilising function.
Aerial work platforms, on the other hand, operate with an integrated active hydraulic system connected to the crane’s circuit, providing continuous automatic levelling and lever-controlled hydraulic rotation up to ±90°, reaching optimal working positions with precision without having to reposition the crane.
